Return to Self: intensives for women
There are times when something within you knows that you’ve drifted from yourself; you may even feel as if you have no idea who you are anymore.
You may feel uncertain, self-doubting or disconnected from your essential inner guidance, feeling confused and looking to the outside for answers. You may struggle to trust your perceptions, instincts or sense of truth. Often, this happens gradually — through relationships or environments that required you to adapt, stay silent or override your own knowing in order to cope.
Return to Self is for women who sense that what is needed now is not ongoing therapy, but a focused, contained space to reconnect with their inner authority and restore trust in their own truth, wisdom and knowing.
What this work is about
At its heart, Return to Self is about remembering who you were before you learned not to trust yourself, while also fully claiming the added bonus of the wisdom and experience you’ve accrued over the years.
From a transpersonal perspective, this work recognises that healing is not only psychological, but also involves reconnection with a deeper sense of self — including intuition, inner guidance, meaning, and embodied knowing. When these essential parts of us are disrupted through relational or cultural wounding, women often experience confusion, self-doubt or a sense of being cut off from themselves.
This intensive supports you to:
recognise where and how your inner authority was overridden or eroded
separate your own truth from internalised voices, expectations, or distortion
reconnect with your intuitive and embodied sense of knowing
restore a felt sense of alignment, clarity, and self-trust
This is not about fixing you or creating something new.
It is about clearing what has obscured what was already there.
Who this intensive is for
Return to Self may be suitable if you:
feel disconnected from your intuition, voice or inner guidance
struggle with self-doubt or mistrust of your own perception
have experienced narcissistic, controlling or emotionally confusing relationships
sense that something essential has been lost or silenced
are at a personal or spiritual threshold and want clarity and integration
Important: this work is intended for women who are resourced enough to engage in focused, depth-oriented therapeutic work, and who are not seeking crisis support or ongoing containment.
A transpersonal therapeutic approach
This intensive is grounded in transpersonal psychotherapy, an established therapeutic approach that honours the psychological, relational, embodied and spiritual dimensions of human experience.
In this work, spirituality isn’t treated as belief or ideology, and no beliefs will be imposed. Instead, it’s explored lived inner experience — the capacity to sense truth, meaning and inner direction. We attend carefully to both psychological process and subtle inner awareness, supporting you to reconnect with what feels authentic and alive within you. However, this isn’t suitable for you if you do not hold open the possibility that there is a spiritual dimension to human life.
Crucially, the work is carefully boundaried, and held with respect for your autonomy and inner authority and personal belief system.
How the intensive works
Return to Self is a time-limited therapeutic container, typically held over six weeks, up to a maximum of three months.
It includes:
Three extended sessions (90 minutes each)
Sessions spaced to allow reflection and integration
Reflective or contemplative prompts between sessions
One optional email check-in between each session
A clear beginning, middle, and ending
There is no open-ended contact between sessions, and no expectation of ongoing work unless it feels genuinely appropriate to explore that separately.
The focus of the work
While each intensive is shaped by your unique experience, the process often includes:
Session One – Remembering the Self
Exploring where self-trust was interrupted and how disconnection from inner guidance developed.
Session Two – Naming Distortion and Restoring Truth
Working directly with internalised voices, relational dynamics or psychological patterns that undermine your authority and sense of self.
Session Three – Integration and Re-Anchoring
Supporting you to consolidate insight, reconnect with your inner guidance and orient yourself forward from a more grounded and aligned place.
The intention is not to resolve everything, but to support a decisive shift in inner orientation.
Boundaries and scope
Return to Self is not long-term psychotherapy, and it does not replace ongoing therapeutic support where that is needed.
This intensive:
does not offer crisis care
does not involve ongoing weekly support
does not aim to process every aspect of your history
Instead, it offers a focused transpersonal intervention, designed to restore clarity, self-trust and inner authority.
Where appropriate, I may suggest further therapy or other forms of support following the completion of the intensive.
